Munch on a falafel at a sunny table while soaking up the Marais vibe at Le Marche des Enfants Rouges indoor market. This market was built in 1615 which makes it the oldest food market in Paris and is located in the chic northern part of the trendy Marais area. Eat ‘sur place’ at one of the little tables and take your pick from any delicacy from almost anywhere in the world; lamb tagine, humous, fresh sushi, illy coffee, Japanese beer or best yet a crepe from Alain the hippie crepe maker. Drop dead delicious and possibly the best in Paris.. People also actually come here for their weekly shop too.. anything from fish to feta to figs or flowers.
A foodies mecca and a great place to grab a seat, a bite to eat and enjoy 'the show'..
