Westland London is not the kind of place you expect to find amongst the trendy restaurants, street art galleries and media companies of Shoreditch. Situated on Leonard Street in an old Victorian church, you’ll find yourself stepping in to a rich person’s second hand shop, chock full of massive ornate fireplaces, sculptures, carvings, spiral staircases and other architectural wonders that have evidently been reclaimed from English stately homes.
Set over two floors, it’s a bit like wandering around a museum, but the difference being, that everything is for sale. The even weirder thing, is that there are actually people who buy the stuff. Westland London is open Mon-Fri and well worth popping in, should you be in the area, especially if you fancy sourcing furniture and accessories for that imaginary mansion of yours.
