This classy cocktail bar is the oldest in Barcelona and has been shaking & stirring since 1933. The original owner used to work at Hemmingway's 'Floridita Bar' in Havana from which he passed on that happy, cocktail-in-the-morning feel to his family who now run Boadas. This place doesn't look like it has changed since the thirties and we love the old school bartenders wearing jackets and bow ties.. Hemingway and Miro were regulars and a little, boozy bird told me they serve the best daiquiris in town. Sip on one of those and promise yourself to never ever have one of the frozen, slushy, over sugared varieties again.. ;)
Boadas is no hip, new, cocktail place or one of the many 'speakeasy's, it's the real deal guys and you always get a warm Catalan welcome here, day or night..
