London - eat - Bill's

Bill's

This rainbow explosion combines a grocery, deli and scrumptious café

What the ....? On entering Bill's an abundance of colors hit you... in a good way. Bunched up raffia, trace paper and strings of chili dangle down from the ceiling in bright blues, reds, purples and yellows.. You'll find deli shelves from floor to ceiling stacked with Bill's beautiful produce, think goodness like chutneys, chocolates, bonbons, biscuits..

Bill's originates from a plan of combining an old style green grocers, an own-label-deli and an informal cafe serving tasty honest food. I ordered the super food salad special: cherry & semi dried tomatoes, beetroot, blueberries, sesame & pumpkin seeds with sliced rare tuna and a honey-mustard dressing. Absolutely delicious with melt-in-your-mouth tuna. For sweets I ate the rhubarb & stem ginger creme brulee. This is going from the specials to the regular menu it's that good. It was hard to not run my fingers through the empty bowl..

Bill gets it right.

why?

Because at first you fall silent because you're taking in Bill's crazy, explosion of colours but later you don't speak because you are too busy eating very good, very tasty food..

We even bought the recipe book..
