Berlin - eat - Diekmann

A charming bistro outfitted with furnishings from a retro grocery store.

Josef Diekmann came across the complete furnishings and furniture of an old traditional grocery store. After restoring it to its former glory, he opened shop selling rice and lentils by the bag. His deli soon grew into this charming little bistro with its intimate, stylish atmosphere and lovely features of the original store. Even the cigarette machine in the hall is 'retro'.. The restaurant also has a tiny terrace on a quite street a stone's throw away from the touristy crowds.. All ingredients are sourced from local farmers, hunters and fishermen in the Brandenburg region.

From arrival at the ivy covered entrance to the devouring of your oh-so-good 'coconut blanc manger with blood orange-ginger sorbet, 'Diekmann' offers a charming and upscale dining experience where the bill is as friendly as the service was during the meal..
