Cosy, arty, quirky little place right on the tree lined banks of the St. Martin canal. Lovely fresh soups, salads, quiches, bagels and cakes served by caring & charming staff in denim and Dr. Martens.. Everything on their inventive menu is homemade, delicious and made with mostly organic ingredients. And the carrot cake deserves to be on the menu in capital letters- it's that very good.. They also host a variety of events from party's to art exhibitions to poetry readings. And if that doesn't make you keen watch the video on their site.. It doesn't just make you want to go, it makes you want to work there too..
Above image: A past exposition of Anna Guégan's amazing creatures. Would have loved to have seen that..
Because when I was there in the summer of 2010 there was a fantastic exposition of Chuck Sperry's rock art illustrations. His bold, striking work filled the entire space and looked absolutely fantastic! I love places that do stuff like that..
