Situated just behind Dam square buzzy 'Van Kerkwijk' offers quality food in an urban atmosphere. Characteristic, easy going and great value for money.. The two sisters that own the place prefer the personal approach; menus don't exist and waiters will crouch down next to your table to explain the daily options. Furthermore the sisters roll up their sleeves just like the rest of the team as one cooks while the other serves (and mum bakes the cakes!).. The food is consistently good and the service attentive, chatty and friendly. The place is always packed and they don't take reservations so often I end up with a glass of something chilled & white at the bar until there is a free table. No problem.. ;)

A super-welcoming, warm place where the kitchen is open till late and you always leave having had a great time and a top meal..
